Geotron UK own and operate a specialist fleet of drilling rigs to enable us to offer a variety of site investigation and remediation services to assist our clients with the fieldwork aspect of their geotechnical and environmental contracts. We also hold a Fleet Operators Licence which gives us the capacity to mobilise our own rigs, equipment and crews to sites across the UK in our fleet of LGVs, vans, 4WD vehicles and trailers, giving us flexibility and reliability. Being fully responsible for the roadworthiness of our fleet and for ensuring that our drivers comply with the Drivers Hours/Tachograph Regulations, our clients can be assured of a professional and compliant service.

What our rigs can reach, core and sample.
How deep can you drill, and can you core rock?
Yes. Our nine Comacchio GEO205/300/305 rotary rigs core rock and solid geology - conventional and open-hole rotary, coring and rotary-percussive, with dynamic sampling and hollow stem auger - our Dando cable percussion rigs reach depth in soils, and our window samplers cover the shallow work. Between them we can take an investigation from a few metres of made ground down to deep cored bedrock.
Do you carry out SPTs, U100 sampling and in-situ testing?
Yes - SPTs and U100 undisturbed sampling are standard on our cable percussion and rotary work, alongside dynamic sampling and coring, plus a full range of in-situ testing. We recover and preserve samples on site, ready for your logging and laboratory scheduling.
Can you work on restricted-access or difficult sites?
Yes. Our Competitor Dart and Premier 110 window samplers are light, tracked and manoeuvrable for gardens, embankments, live highways and soft or sensitive ground, and our cable percussion rigs have a small, low-impact footprint. If access is tight, our window sampling fleet is usually the way in.
